Description

St Helens Neighbourhood House Free2Be Girls Group has organised a “Listen Up” International Women's Day event to celebrate women’s voices in the Break O'Day municipality.

Community members are invited to invite women they admire for speaking up in life and to share the reasons they admire these women’s contribution to their community. These women might be friends, wives, daughters, or perhaps local councillors.

Guest speakers:

  • Tania Hunt, Youth Network of Tasmania (YNOT will talk about her advocacy role for young people’s voices in Tasmania; and
  • Kylie Dunn (Regional Arts Tasmania) will explain how she uses art to get her messages across to the public. Kylie will create a poster capturing a vision based on what women in the Break O'Day region value as being important for the future of their community.
