Tasmanian RIRDC Rural Women's Award

Entries for the 2018 Rural Industries Research Development Corporation (RIRDC) Rural Women's Award open on 14 September 2017.  Entries close 31 October 2017.

Visit the RIRDC Rural Women's Award website for information on the selection criteria and how to enter. Be inspired by the stories of other rural women who have applied and the experiences they have had. You will be surprised how easy it is to apply and how many doors will open.

The Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC) Rural Women's Award is Australia's pre-eminent Award that recognises and encourages rural women's contribution to primary industries, resource development and rural Australia.

Despite its name, the Award is primarily NOT about being the best rural woman - it is about identifying a learning opportunity that you believe will benefit you and your industry. The $10,000 bursary is the major prize for each State and Territory winner and is designed to help build your skills so that you can bring that knowledge back home to your business and your industry.

The Award is open to all women involved in some way in primary industries, whether you work in broad-acre farming or intensive livestock, cropping, horticulture, fisheries, forestry, natural resource management or related service industries. For more information, or assistance in completing the application form, please contact the Rural Women's Award Coordinator. Still need further inspiration - see this year’s winners of the RIRDC Rural Women’s Award.
