Women’s Website launched

Tasmania's new Women's website and Facebook page was launched by the Minister for Women, the Hon. Jacquie Petrusma MP, on 15 March 2017.

The Minister took the opportunity to announce the website while celebrating International Women’s Day at a Women’s Breakfast attended by over 650 women at Wrest Point.

The website features information about policies, services and events for women and promotes opportunities for women to participate in all aspects of economic, social and political aspects of life – all in one central place.

Following the Minister’s announcement, guests at the breakfast heard from guest speaker Dr Susan Alberti AC, an inspirational Australian woman who in addition to her business achievements, has made outstanding philantropic contributions to medical research and was a driving force behind the establishment of a women's roster in the AFL in 2017.
