Jenny Barnard

Jenny is a baby boomer still seeking challenges. She has been writing seriously for five years and reads regularly at the Republic Bar & Cafe. Her work has been published in Broad Seat-Famous Reporter Together Alone, an anti-cancer council anthology.

Jenny received a highly commended for her poem Tumor from Dorothy Porter. Many of her prize winning poems have appeared in Republic Readings booklets and she also won the F.A.W. Hal Moore memorial prize for poetry in 2001.

In Jan-Feb 2002 she performed her 'deep end' feat - Poets' Omnibus which she says was "fantastic - great fun!" She belongs to the Watersmeet haiku group, which meets in the Women Tasmania headquarters.

Jenny enjoys humour, satire and women's issues.
