So don't sit this one out.

πŸ“’ Calling all experts in women’s and girls’ health: 20-Year Preventive Health Strategy

The Department of Health is currently developing a 20-Year Preventive Health Strategy for Tasmania – and are seeking the expertise of people who are interested in women’s health and wellbeing.

Health doesn’t start in a clinic – it starts where life does. Things like safe housing, supportive family environments, green spaces, food, transport, income, social connection, and time to rest all shape more than 70% of our health outcomes. Right now, too many people are getting physically or mentally unwell because of systems that don’t support wellbeing. But most of that illness can be prevented.

The Department of Health welcome all people – from Tasmania and beyond – with lived experience, expertise or interest in women’s health to help identify what the government can do and what best practice looks like.

Join the dedicated women's health sector workshop:

πŸ—“ Wednesday 16 July
πŸ• 1:00 – 2:30pm (Hobart time)
πŸ”— Register for the women's health workshop via this link.

Alternatively, you’re also welcome to attend our early years sector workshop if the date and time suits you better and it’s still an area of interest:
